Launched in January 2020 by a group of Algerian companies working in the digital sector and firmly believing in collective intelligence, the GAAN (Groupement Algérien des Acteurs du Numérique) aims to bring together as many Algerian digital players as possible, whatever their size, legal status, level of expertise, sector of specialisation or geographical positioning, around 4 major objectives: Federate, Grow, Extend and Transform.
Our country needs to catch up on its technological backwardness, while focusing its strategic choices and orientations on local issues that are hampering the blossoming of the genius of young Algerians. Any strategy must be based on reliable data on the ground, and GAAN is positioning itself as a link between digital players and decision-makers, acting as a mouthpiece for the former and a window on developments in the Algerian digital ecosystem for the latter.
GAAN is a non-political body, totally independent of government bodies, and open to any entity, natural or legal, that can contribute to the emergence of a strong digital economy.
